Bereket Aweke has over 10 years of experience in the education, training and business sectors. Having been graduated from Addis Ababa University, Bereket has worked on a number of institutions as a teacher, coordinator and Director. Bereket has passion and commitment for teaching and children. He has spent years figuring out ways to improve teaching and learning and partners with different local and international organizations, for he believes it is through quality education that sustainable change could come to Africa. This has led to the co-founding of a program “Thinking Schools Ethiopia” in collaboration with Thinking Schools International based in UK and USA. Bereket, in addition to his role of co-founder, is a certified trainer in thinking methodologies and has led the program for three years as coordinator and later as director in Ethiopia. The program, under his leadership, achieved major recognition from government ministries, private schools, NGOs and trained over 3,000 teachers and school leaders. This is depicted in the Thinking School’s book published by Corwin Press. Having achieved this, he opened for profit training and consultancy firm “Think Africa” focused on delivering 21st century teaching methodologies for the education sector and quality trainings for business and development sectors, bringing excellence and skill development to Africa. Think Africa in a short time has gained reputation and is working with known companies across all sectors in Ethiopia. Bereket is a gifted teacher, trainer and entrepreneur.
