High Performance team for Ethiojobs
Think Africa has successfully delivered a one day training on “Developing High Performance Team”. The training also used the well-known personality type indicator MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) in order to be aware of one’s personality and its contribution to team dynamics. Team building is an ongoing process that helps a work group evolve into a cohesive unit. With good team-building skills, you can unite employees around a common goal and generate greater productivity. Without them, you limit yourself and the staff to the effort each individual can make alone.
“The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator has become the most widely used personality measure for non-psychiatric populations” (Myers, 1991, p.xii). The indicator involves four preferences, each of which has two sides. They include Extravert vs. Introvert, Sensing vs. Intuitive, Thinking vs. Feeling, and Judgment vs. Perception. Through the analysis of the answers on the MBTI, a type is assessed for each individual. There are sixteen types, each being a combination of the four preferences. Administering the MBTI to employees facilities the opportunity to better understand employees’ strengths, as well as identify their communication and working styles
The training will continue throughout the coming year building on what has achieved and adding more expertise to help Ethiojobs continue to excel in the sector.
